Adopt-A-Shelter Community Program

DART announces the launching of its 2011 Adopt-A-Shelter program to enlist community and business partnerships to adopt and help maintain bus shelters throughout the State. DART believes that these partnerships will result in more attractive and cleaner shelter environments for its customers while also reducing the number of incidents and associated costs of vandalism. It is also an opportunity for individuals and/or groups to be publicly recognized for their contribution to the community.

DART will publicly recognize shelter adopters with a plaque at the shelter, in media releases, recognition on DART's popular web site, and with a framed wall certificate.

We look forward to many organizations coming forth to be recognized for helping us keep our shelters clean and safe. All it takes is a single page Adopt-A-Shelter agreement that allows the shelter adopter to determine the maintenance schedule or agree on a schedule set by DART.

Help DART to Provide All with a Better, Cleaner,
and More Attractive Transit System

If you desire to be a Community Shelter Partner with DART, please clearly print your information on the shelter agreement and volunteer release forms, and fax them to 302.577.8040. You can also mail the forms to DTC Marketing, Delaware Transit Corporation, 119 Lower Beech Street, Wilmington, DE, 19805.
